TheMoveChannel.com is not an auction house, but is partnering with a variety of auctioneers in different countries in order to be able to offer property for sale at auction. Combining online bidding with live offline events that are broadcast on the web, auctions offer a great way to sell your property, particularly in a market where buyers are hard to find by the more traditional routes.

Selling a property at auction can lead to a higher sales price than you may be able to achieve by advertising a property normally, as a competitive bidding process has been scientifically proven to achieve higher sales prices in a wide variety of industries.

The cost of selling real estate at auctions varies from country to country. Often, there are two fees. Firstly, a modest listings fee covers the cost of putting together the sales particulars, including the legal pack if necessary. Secondly, there is a sales commission, payable if a bid is accepted above any reserve price that has been set.

You should make sure you are fully familiar with the pricing structure before signing a contract, including the specific details of whether the buyer pays the commission as a bidder's premium on top of the final price, or whether this is a commission calculated against the final bid price and then deducted from the amount you receive.
